What do I Love about weekends? Hahaha, It’s my off obviously. No avocado/white scrub suits, waking up late, binge on home-cooked meal, movie marathon, etc..etc. But my last weekend was quite different. Different in a sense that if you knew me quite well, you know I’m probably off to somewhere, (beach, mall or a bar). Yep, never a home-buddy.:) So why is it different then? Well, I was in the places where you never thought I could be.
I spent my whole Saturday working! Yes, did some paperworks in THE OFFICE that had been left behind. Hey, it’s not what it seems like, I do love of course my second home, but if you’re working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, it will be the last place you want to go to.
After my one-on-one session with the papers and my desktop at work, I headed straight HOME. Changed my clothes and grabbed a book. No gimiks (Boyfriend, if ever you read this, yes, I was at home). I had this book way back, but for some weird reason I am reluctant to read it.: l So what about this book? This book will help you understand why you are alive and God’s amazing plan for you-both here and now, and for eternity. It is a personal 40-day spiritual journey that will enable you to discover the answer to life’s most important question: What on earth am I Here for?
It has a section at the end of each chapter called “Thinking about My Purpose.” Here you will find:
- A Point to Ponder-summarizes a principle of purpose-driven living that you can reflect on throughout your day.
- A Verse to Remember- A verse from the bible that teaches a truth form that chapter.
- A Question to Consider-A question that will help you think about what you have read and how it applies to you personally.
It’s kinda tough when your usual routine change in a snap but sometimes it helps when we shut ourselves to the rumble and bumble noise of this world to reflect and to ponder.
How about you? I hope everyone had a great weekend.
